Hi, I'm Tiffany Thomas, MSW, LSWAIC. I hold an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Mississippi State University and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. I began my career as a psychosocial rehabilitation coordinator at a community mental health agency, mentored by therapists and psychiatrists, and I have spent the years since serving people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
I have worked with children and adolescents in mental health crises, with adults living with severe mental illness in a psychiatric hospital, and with people working through the overlap of mental illness and substance use. I later co-led an intensive outpatient treatment center, helping people build recovery and sobriety. Across that work I have supported clients through trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use.
My ideal client is anyone working through life's difficulties, living with a mental health condition, or simply in need of someone to talk to outside of their usual circle. Much of my work, with younger and older clients alike, centers on trauma therapy, and I also draw on cognitive behavioral and solution-focused approaches. I guide clients in mindfulness and meditation techniques and the role they play in finding peace.
Having someone to talk to outside of your circle, to help you work through life's difficulties, mental health conditions, or simply how to approach hard tasks in life, is what I am here for. We all need that from time to time, and I'm here for you.
Work with Tiffany.
