Leada Taghipour
MA, LMHCA, LMFTA
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in Washington State. I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University, where my graduate training focused on clinical psychology and marriage and family therapy.
My practice focuses on working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. My work is centered on improving emotional and relational well-being, and I work with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I am often described as warm, personable, compassionate, and genuine. I take a person-centered, relational, and non-pathologizing approach to therapy because I believe you are much more than a diagnosis or the challenges that brought you here. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely understood. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, feel genuinely heard, and feel supported as we work toward the changes that matter most to you.
In our work together, my priority is to understand you. Not just what you’re going through, but who you are as a person. I believe everyone has a story worth understanding, and while our life experiences may be different, we can often connect through the emotions that shape them. I don’t believe therapy is one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my approach to your unique needs, goals, and strengths. I also welcome feedback throughout the process to make sure our work together continues to feel helpful and aligned with your needs.
While my work is grounded in person-centered therapy, I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy depending on each client’s individual needs. I often help clients explore how early life experiences, relationships, and patterns from the past continue to influence the present. Together, we’ll build insight into those patterns while developing practical tools that support meaningful and lasting change.
If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love the opportunity to connect with you. I look forward to getting to know you.
