Sometimes you know something in your life needs to change and you can't quite name what. You might feel anxious, stretched thin, or disconnected from yourself. You might watch the same pattern show up again and not see a way out of it. Therapy can be the place where you slow down, say it out loud, and start to make sense of it.
I'm Briana, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with adults on anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, big life changes, self-esteem and identity, and the kind of emotional overwhelm that's hard to put into words.
I spent about 14 years living outside the United States, mostly in Asia and Eastern Europe. That time shaped how I think about culture, identity, and belonging, and it's why I care about working with international students, expats, and people adjusting to life after moving back home. I also have a particular interest in women's mental health and PMDD, and in supporting people living with chronic illness and autoimmune conditions.
My approach is warm and collaborative, and I look at the whole person, including the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I leave room for spirituality to mean whatever it means to you. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and somatic work, and I shape sessions around what you need. Some weeks that's practical coping skills. Other weeks it's looking at patterns and relationships, or getting clearer on what matters most to you.
