Hi, I’m Aisha Javed, MACFT, LMFTA, a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment, and begin to make sense of what you’ve been carrying. I have five years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. I offer evidence-based support for anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and relational difficulties, and I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
I also have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and selective mutism. I approach neurodiversity from a strengths-based, developmentally informed perspective, focusing on emotional regulation, communication, and building practical coping skills that support you, or your child, in everyday life.
My approach to therapy is systemic and collaborative. I believe our experiences are deeply shaped by our relationships, family systems, and cultural backgrounds. Because of this, I integrate a variety of modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and elements of the Gottman Method and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to tailor the work to your unique needs. I also incorporate experiential techniques to help you move beyond just talking, so you can process emotions more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change.
I’m especially passionate about working with individuals and families working through trauma, family conflict, identity, and the challenges of balancing multiple roles, particularly within multicultural and immigrant communities. As someone from an immigrant background, I understand how culture, expectations, and stigma can shape the way we experience and talk about mental health. That understanding deeply informs the way I show up in the therapy room, with curiosity, respect, and care for the full context of your story.
Outside of therapy, I’m a mom, a wife, and someone who deeply values connection and family. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle different roles while trying to take care of yourself. Creativity is an important part of who I am. I love drawing, designing, and finding ways to express emotions beyond words, and I often bring that openness and flexibility into my work with clients. In our work together, you can expect a warm, steady, and non-judgmental presence. I don’t approach therapy as “fixing” you. My work is about helping you reconnect with your strengths, understand your patterns, and build more fulfilling relationships with yourself and with others.
